Looking, the other way
Looking, the other way is a light, sound and video installation in which some of the more magical elements of my morning commute are explored and abstracted. The light is a repurposed 1930’s architectural fixture being controlled by a 21st century microprocessor. The light effects of the train passing by the lakefront high-rises have been encoded to the second and synced with the myopic side window video to create a heightened every day experience. The soundtrack was created out of whole cloth using various homegrown foley effects in my apartment.
