F A R E W E L L
Farewell is my 3rd piece with choreographer Paul Matteson and my 2nd with Paul and Jennifer together. My involvment in Farewell started with a 6 minute solo by Paul Matteson at Joes Pub which was expanded with a ton of material added. The initial experiment involved cello samples which were treated and augmented and became the chore of the instrumentation along with a randome note generation patch and samples from a horribly scratched Eric Satie recording.
Fare Well is an evening length dance by Jennifer Nugent and Paul Matteson with original score by Edmund Mooney, sets by Sue Rees, lighting by Garen Marshal and costumes by Naoko Nagata. The evocative duet was premiered at St Marks church in NYC in 2006 and has enjoyed re-mounts around the U.S. and abroad.
